Families are forever, Part II

On Tuesday 28 February 2012, my grandfather passed away after a long battle with Leukemia. Nevertheless, I am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and that families can be together forever. I love my family, and it was so beautiful to finally be reunited with some of my first cousins after such a long time. Miss and love you Granddad! Thanks for loving us, and thank you being such a beautiful person. <3

Families are forever <3

So within a day of each other, our Bishop and his wife lost a member of their families that they held so dear in their lives. Our Bishop, first of all, lost his brother who was only so young. He was dropping his second youngest daughter off at Seminary, left the room that they were having Seminary in, and had, to my understanding, randomly collapsed. He had gone into Cardiac Arrest, and was unfortunately unable to be revived. He was only 47 years old. The next day, our Bishop’s father had unexpectedly fallen to his death; if I understand the situation correctly, it was in a similar manner. The sad truth about his death is that he was due to visit a hospice about his health later on in that same day he passed. I attended our Bishop’s brother’s family and funeral services because I knew him better than our Bishop’s wife’s father. It was AMAZING! The spirit was beautiful, the singing was astounding, and I just felt so uplifted right throughout the services. :) Cried so much! But I’m grateful for such experiences. Attending services, helps me to mentally prepare for what might become of my family one day. Attending these services also makes me just THAT much more grateful for temple ordinances, and the opportunity we have to be reunited with our family members someday. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL SO MUCH! I’m truly grateful to have it in my life, and I’m glad that my family was sealed in the Hamilton, NZ Temple for time and all eternity. I love my family so deeply, and I testify that families can most definitely be together forever. I love my Savior and Heavenly Father, I’m grateful for all they sacrificed, and I believe that I am truly benefitting from their sacrifices. I’m also grateful for my parents; for my Mother who was so adamant that we attend church after being less-active for such a long period, and also my Father for accepting the challenge of marrying a member, and then later deciding to join the Church so that we could all be together forever. I am especially grateful for the Spirit of Christ, who presented and made known the truth to my Father that this could all happen. In the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN. <3

i am ever so grateful to have the gospel in my life. <3
